Privacy Policy for UC Map Redirect

1. Scope and developer

This Privacy Policy applies to the UC Map Redirect mobile application developed and published by UCSoft Engineering Applications Developers (referred to in this policy as “UCSoft,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

UC Map Redirect is a convenience utility that processes a supported map or location link supplied by the user and attempts to open the corresponding destination in a compatible navigation application, such as Waze.

2. How map links are processed

A user may paste or share a supported map link with the app. The app processes the link to identify destination information and prepares an app-to-app request for the selected navigation service.

• The app does not create a UCSoft user account or profile.
• UCSoft does not maintain a server-side history of submitted links or destinations.
• Destination information may remain temporarily in the app's memory while the request is being processed.
• If a shortened or redirected URL must be resolved, the app or the device may contact the link provider over the internet. That provider may receive ordinary network information such as the device's IP address under its own privacy policy.
• Once a destination is opened in another application, that application's privacy practices apply.

3. Information handled directly by UCSoft

UCSoft does not require or intentionally collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, passwords, contacts, payment information, or a persistent history of destinations through UC Map Redirect.

The current app is designed to work from map links supplied by the user. It does not need to create a UCSoft account, and UCSoft does not use those links to build a personal location profile.

4. Advertising and Google AdMob

UC Map Redirect may display advertisements provided by Google AdMob through the Google Mobile Ads SDK. Google states that its Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share certain information for advertising, analytics, and fraud-prevention purposes, including:

• IP address, which may be used to estimate general location;
• app interactions, such as app launches, taps, and ad or video interactions;
• diagnostic and performance information;
• device or account identifiers, which may include the Android advertising ID and app set ID.

The exact information processed can depend on the SDK version, device settings, region, consent choices, and advertising configuration. Data handled by Google is governed by Google's own privacy terms and controls.

Where required, users may be shown a consent or privacy-choice message before personalized advertising or related storage technologies are used.

5. Third-party applications and services

UC Map Redirect depends on external map, link, advertising, and navigation services. Those services operate independently from UCSoft and may process information under their own terms.

UCSoft is not responsible for the availability, data practices, destination accuracy, or continued compatibility of third-party applications and services.

6. Storage, retention, and deletion

UCSoft does not maintain user accounts or a server-side database of submitted map links for this app. Consequently, UCSoft generally has no stored link history or account record to retrieve or delete.

Third-party providers may retain information according to their own privacy policies. Requests concerning information controlled by Google, Waze, or another provider should be made through that provider's privacy controls or support channels.

7. Data security

We design the app to minimize the information handled directly by UCSoft. However, no internet transmission, mobile device, or third-party service can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users should keep Android and installed navigation applications updated and protect access to their devices.

8. Your privacy choices

Depending on your device and region, you may be able to:

• accept, reject, or manage advertising consent when a consent message is presented;
• manage ad personalization through Google's advertising settings;
• reset or delete the Android advertising ID through Android settings;
• control privacy and location-history settings separately in Google Maps and Waze;
• stop using the app and remove locally stored app data by uninstalling it.

9. Children's privacy

UC Map Redirect is a general navigation utility and is not directed to children under the age of 13. UCSoft does not knowingly request personal information from children through this app. If you believe a child has provided personal information directly to UCSoft, please contact us so that we can review the matter.

10. International processing

Third-party providers may process information in countries other than the country where the user is located. Their processing and transfer practices are governed by their respective privacy policies and applicable laws.

11. Independent application and trademarks

UC Map Redirect is an independent utility developed by UCSoft Engineering Applications Developers. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or an official product of Google, Google Maps, or Waze. Google, Google Maps, Waze, Android, and related names and marks belong to their respective owners.

12. Changes to this policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy when the app's features, third-party SDKs, legal requirements, or data practices change. The effective date shown at the top of this page will be updated when a revised policy is published.
